Question 1

How much will I really save with solar panels in Sydney?

Accepted Answer

A well-sized 6.6kW-10kW system typically offsets 60-90% of an average Sydney household bill, paying itself back in roughly 3-5 years - then it is essentially free power for the remaining 20+ years of warranty. We size every system from your actual bills so the numbers are personalised, not guesswork, and we handle the STC government rebate paperwork to reduce your upfront cost.

Question 2

Should I add a battery now or wait?

Accepted Answer

If you want blackout protection or you are home mainly in the evenings, a battery pays for itself faster because you store your own solar instead of exporting it for cents. Modern systems like the Tesla Powerwall 3 and Sungrow SBR are also modular - many of our customers start solar-only and we pre-wire the switchboard so adding storage later is a clean, quick upgrade rather than a rework.

Question 3

Which home appliances can you install for me?

Accepted Answer

All the fixed and hard-wired ones: wall ovens, induction and ceramic cooktops, rangehoods, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, split-system air conditioners, ceiling fans, exhaust fans and hot water systems. High-power appliances get their own correctly-sized dedicated circuits with isolators, and everything is tested and certified before we leave.

Question 4

How do I know if my switchboard needs upgrading?

Accepted Answer

If you still have ceramic or porcelain fuses, no safety switches (RCDs), or the board is more than 25-30 years old, it is due - and your insurer probably agrees. It is also usually required before solar or battery installation so the new system can connect safely. We inspect your board free of charge as part of any quote and show you photos of exactly what needs changing.

Question 5

Do you actually do small general electrician jobs?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely - no job is too small. A single power point, one flickering light, a dodgy dimmer, an outdoor sensor light: that is our bread and butter. Our vans are fully stocked so most general jobs are finished in one visit, always with a fixed-price quote before we start and a CCEW certificate when required.
